| November 29th 1961. I was at sea aboard the Randolph waitingto be flown back to the States. I was on the flight deck watching them get the COD and catapult ready when they announced that the filght was delayed. There wasa monkey going around the world and he was in trouble. They are bringing him down early and there are ships there to take care of him if he is alive. I waited almost an hour when they announced that my flight was released. He was on the deck and alive. That was ENOS the CHIMPANZEE. He did not take my slot, but i could not leave the ship until he landed and was alive. | ||
