| I remember our ship doing that 89' drill. When we were in Coldbay, we were able to buy fishing licenses and fish off the fantail. I remember one officer catching a 6ft Haibut fish and storing it in the freezer until we got back to San Diego. I heard the chiefs and officers used shrimp from their mess decks as bait. I also remember having to do duty ashore--walking with a M-16. When I came across a payphone, I decided to call my Dad collect and say "hi". It was an awesome time. | ||
