Ray Plumlee's an American Odyssey

Traveling Webmaster's Deck Log

This is a copy of my old Deck Log (Online Journal). I am now using an online blog at my "Have Web Sites Will Travel" web site. I use it to chronolog my travels around North America (my American Odyssey).

This "Old" Deck Log is now only an archive of past postings. It tell's the reader where I have visited and what adventures I have had up til the time I started my blog on Have Web Sites Will Travel. This archive was written primarily from the perspective of a tourist. Not necessarily my work log though I may do some of that too, especially in those early days when I built the sites resouces. Initially I used it to detail my efforts in getting prepared for the adventure. Then I chronicled the adventure itself.

Log Entry Title:     Summary of 22 December 2003 to 4 January 2003

Log Entry:     Since arriving in the Phoenix, Arizona area I spent Christmas and New Years with an old Navy Shipmate, Wally Lattal and his wife Jeanie. This is the 5th winter visit I have made to their place but was my first Christmas visit. Three of my past visits were for Wally and Jeanies world famous Superbowl parties. One year I spent New Years with them and had to miss the Superbowl party. That was OK, becuase Wally and Jeanie are great hosts and love to entertain.

I slowed down the tourist mode (compared to Las Vegas, Nevada) over the holidays, but I am about ready to start it up again. My first couple of visits will be to the Superstition Mountains near the Goldfield Ghost Town just north of Apache Junction. After that will be Barringer Crater or Meteor Crater which was highlighted by the Movie Starman.

Happy New Year to all of you who are following me as I make my way around the country.
