Ray Plumlee's an American Odyssey
Traveling Webmaster's Deck Log
This is a copy of my old Deck Log (Online Journal). I am now using an online blog at my "Have Web Sites Will Travel" web site. I use it to chronolog my travels around North America (my American Odyssey).
This "Old" Deck Log is now only an archive of past postings. It tell's the reader where I have visited and what adventures I have had up til the time I started my blog on Have Web Sites Will Travel. This archive was written primarily from the perspective of a tourist. Not necessarily my work log though I may do some of that too, especially in those early days when I built the sites resouces. Initially I used it to detail my efforts in getting prepared for the adventure. Then I chronicled the adventure itself.

Log Entry Title: Traveling Webmasters Final Preparations: The Shakedown Cruise
Log Entry: Underway! Well sort of. I purchased my RV and moved it into the Capital Court Trailer Park in Emmett, Idaho. This is what I call the "shakedown cruise." It will take a few weeks getting used to living in a much smaller home. And just as importantly I will have to help my 3 cats, Christie, Grayson, and Patches get used to living in a much smaller place.
This week I have spent all my time going back and forth to the old place in Meridian (about 30 miles) throwing a bunch of stuff away and packing up those items I intend to put in storage. The rest I have given away. Most of the furniture and my Ford Ranger is going to my son Ray who is also moving. He is moving from the studio apartement he and his wife Jenifer have lived in since they were married. They are moving into a 3 bedroom house so need a lot of additional furniture. In steps dad who is going in the opposite direction. A smaller less clutterd life.
Speaking of moving. My whole family in Idaho is moving this month as well. My Sister is moving from their home in Boise to a home in Star. A small community in the country near boise. My Brother Jerry is moving from his 2 bedroom home into a brand new 3 bedroom about 3 blocks away from his current home. The Plumlee's are a migrating herd even if it is only a few blocks away like Jerry or out of state and on the road like me.
More later!
